NAOMI - BRINGING HOPE TO YOUNG PEOPLE
My name is Naomi, and I am the local school chaplain at Dodges Ferry Primary School and Sorell High School. I have previously worked as a school chaplain and Chaplaincy Support Officer with SU Tas, but left to spend more time with my family. I always knew that I would gladly return to chaplaincy if the time was right, so I am grateful to be back!
My work over the two schools ranges from spending time in classes getting to know students and assisting teachers, helping out with the early learners and their parents, assisting with fl exible learning students, running lunch time activities and taking students to our local nursing home.
Thanks to generous supporters, I have the opportunity to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents. The stronger these relationships, the better I am able to support those in need as those needs arise. By supporting our local schools through my chaplaincy role, I can help to not only bring hope to our young people, but also to their teachers and parents.
The work of chaplaincy will only continue with the support of the community and generous Tasmanians. Your gift will help support my work and school chaplaincy into the future!
