GABI - BRINGING HOPE TO YOUNG PEOPLE AT CRESSY DHS
My name is Gabi and I am the school chaplain at Cressy District High. I’m part of the team at St Barnabas Anglican Church, and have a role around training and equipping leaders for mission and ministry. I am also soon to finish my undergraduate degree in psychology and have a passion for working with young people in the mental health sector – this passion, and my work within the church, led me to chaplaincy.
In my role as school chaplain at Cressy, I spend most of my day in the classroom or working with students one-to-one. I especially enjoy supporting students as they discover their strengths and passions.
The aim of SU Tas is to help young people and their families have hope for the future, and it is my hope is that through my work as a chaplain many young people in Tasmania will be encouraged and released to be who they are created to be.
The work of chaplaincy will only continue with the support of the community and generous Tasmanians. Your gift will help support my work and school chaplaincy into the future!
