ALICE - BRINGING HOPE TO BRACKNELL PRIMARY
Hi, I’m Alice, Chaplain at Bracknell Primary School. Growing up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches I first experienced SU as a teenager on Beach Mission teams. Needless to say, I loved it. I graduated from Sydney University as an English/ TESOL teacher and have worked in both TESOL and the childcare sector. Over the years I have had the privilege to be involved in ministry in many cultural contexts. I like a good adventure!
I see my main role as chaplain to support and encourage students to build their resilience and confidence. I provide group activities that will foster relationships with peers and one-on-one support. SU provides programs for mentoring. I run activities in the garden, visual arts, drama, sport, grief and loss support and pastoral care.
The aim of SU TAS is to bring hope to young people. In a world that is getting increasingly more challenging and unpredictable, I know chaplaincy is making a big difference. I am so pleased to share their journey.
The work of chaplaincy will only continue with the support of the community and generous Tasmanians. Your gift will help support my work and school chaplaincy into the future!
